The Few Good Seats Project

Thanks to the Two Or Three blog for recommending our series on Christian Fundamentalism (three installments so far, with a few more in the works). I am returning the favor by inviting our readers to check out TwoOrThree.net.

I was previously unfamiliar with 2OR3. It’s a clever name for a blog. In addition to alluding to Jesus’ words at the end of Matthew 18, it indicates that 2OR3 is a group blog. The “two or three” who write 2OR3 are Aaron Earls, Seeker, and Daddypundit.

Seeker is the one who linked to my Fundamentalism articles. Seeker attends a Southern Baptist church and describes himself as a “former charismatic worship leader” and a “post-charismatic Christian.” He makes a reference once to “here at San Francisco,” so perhaps he lives there.

(One of my pet peeves is anonymous bloggers. It’s annoying to have to play blog detective just to figure out who’s writing, especially when they’re writing about you. But that’s another topic.)

Aaron Earls is a Southern Baptist who works at a Christian university in South Carolina. In addition to contributing to Two Or Three, he writes his own blog, The Wardrobe Door, and is a contributing writer on World Magazine’s World Views blog.

The third 2OR3 blogger is Daddypundit. In addition to his occasional contribution at 2OR3, Daddypundit writes his own blog, titled, you guessed it: Daddypundit. His Blogger profile says he works in business in Virginia and is the worship leader of his church.

The 2OR3 bloggers are prolific. I count about 60 posts in February. It’s a good mix of their own opinions plus links to good material on other blogsites. They get 50 to 60 readers a day. 2OR3 covers many categories; one that gets a lot of attention is apologetics, especially Creation/Evolution. Check out all of their posts on that topic here.

Here are a couple of other 2OR3 posts which caught my eye:

> Seeker’s own article on fundamentalism: “What is a Fundamentalist Christian?”

> “Why Most Churches Suck” (by Seeker)

> “Screwtape’s First Letter on the Blogosphere” (by Aaron)

I have added TwoOrThree.net to our blogroll. Pay them a visit.
